No Hat, No Play
Teachers are now enforcing the "No Hat, No Play" rule during our first and second break. If your child does not have a hat on when outside they will need to sit in the shade or undercover until they bring a school hat to wear. All hat sizes are available from the Uniform Shop on Qkr, with both new and pre-loved options available.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO LABEL YOUR CHILD'S HAT CLEARLY!

PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGES TO WEEKS 3, 8 AND 9

From the Principal
Dear Families,
I hope this message finds you well and enjoying the vibrant energy of Term 4! It’s been a fantastic few weeks to start the term and I am thrilled to share some exciting updates with you:
School Leadership Election Process for 2026
It was truly inspiring to speak with our Year 5 students this morning about nominating themselves for leadership positions in 2026. Their enthusiasm, thoughtful questions, and eagerness to contribute to our school community were a joy to witness. We’re excited to see these young leaders step forward with confidence and courage. Parents, please keep an eye out for a note and Compass alert arriving this afternoon with all the details.
Oval and Play Spaces Update
Our oval upgrade is progressing beautifully! While the finishing touches are still underway, students are already making the most of our newly enhanced play spaces. It’s been excellent to see so much joy, creativity, and fun through free play during break times.
2026 Kindergarten Information Night – On Tuesday!
We’re eagerly preparing to welcome our next generation of learners at our 2026 Kindergarten Information Night on Tuesday evening. It’s always a special moment to meet new families and share the joy of our Ss Peter and Paul's school community. If you know someone with a child starting at our school in 2026, please remind them to come along at 7:00pm.
Morning Drop-Off Reminder
A friendly reminder that student supervision begins at 8:30am at the earliest and is ideally only for students who catch a bus that gets to school before regular play begins at 8:55am. Please note that we do not have a teacher on duty offering a formal duty-of-care until 8:55am and classes do not begin until 9:20am. For everyone’s safety and well-being, we kindly ask that students are not dropped off before these times. Your support helps us ensure a safe and calm start to the day for all.
Warm regards,
Bradley Brown
Acting Principal
Child Safety and Safeguarding Resources
Australia’s Biggest Child Safety Lesson
This Friday, SPP will be taking part in Australia's Biggest Child Safety Lesson with the Daniel Morcombe Foundation. This national day of action advocates for safer communities for children and empowering them to Recognise, React and Report when they feel unsafe.
An information letter for parents and carers will be posted on Compass with more details about the lesson. This is an opportunity to start or continue a conversation about safety with your child. We encourage you to ask them about what they learnt. Let them know they can always talk to you if they ever feel unsafe.
Day for Daniel is Australia's largest child safety and education day. If you would like more information, please visit this link:
https://danielmorcombe.com.au/day-for-daniel/

School Engagement Survey
Have your say! The new annual School Engagement Survey is launching mid-November, and you will have the opportunity to reflect on your experiences at the school as a parent or guardian and provide feedback.
Your feedback will be valuable to help us understand how to better support your child and improve our school.
The new survey has been developed with the support of JWS Research. It will take around 10-15 minutes to complete, and your responses will be kept completely confidential and only reported at an aggregate level.
You can expect the 2025 School Engagement Survey to be distributed through Compass as a News Item and push notification in the coming days! If you have any issues accessing the survey link, please contact the Catholic Education Office through Strategy.Survey@cg.catholic.edu.au
Bus Passes 2026
Students progressing from year 2 to year 3 and from year 6 to year 7 need to re-apply.
At the school drop down box select 'St Peter & Pauls Primary School'
- Students who change address, school, campus location, have repeated a year or received an expiry notification for their school travel entitlement need to renew or update their details before the end of term 4. This will ensure that schools can endorse applications before the end of the year, so students travel entitlement can remain valid for the start of the 2026 school year.
- Students should receive their travel pass at the start of the new school year from their nominated transport operator. It may come via the school or be sent directly to them at home.
- Where a student meets the new distance eligibility, the system will automatically update their entitlement. If they do not meet the new distance requirements, they will receive an expiry notification.
- Students who have an entitlement approved under a medical condition that is due to expire will receive a notification advising them to re-apply.

RE News from Mrs Harris
YEAR 1 LITURGY - HONOURING MARY, OUR MOTHER
On Wednesday, our Year 1 students led a beautiful liturgy with the special focus on Mary, Mother of God. The children reflected on the gentle love and care Mary shows as the first disciple and a model of faith for us all. Through prayer, song and scripture, they reminded us that Mary always leads us closer to Jesus through her example of kindness, openness and trust in God. We are very proud of the reverence and confidence the Year 1 students displayed as they read, prayed and participated. Their thoughtful preparation helped create a prayerful atmosphere for all who attended. A warm thank you to our Year 1 teachers and families for their support in helping the children prepare so meaningfully for this sacred celebration.

YEAR 3 LITURGY - YOU ARE INVITED
Our Year 3 students are looking forward to leading their class liturgy on Tuesday 12 November at 9:30am in the school chapel and we warmly invite all Year 3 parents and families to join us. This will be a special opportunity for the students to share their prayer, learning and reflections as they come together in faith. We would love to see as many families as possible there to support the children and pray alongside them. We hope you can join us for this beautiful celebration.
MARIAN PROCESSION
What a beautiful day of faith, community and celebration in Goulburn last Sunday as our students took part in the Marian Procession. Walking together in prayer and honour of Our Lady is always a powerful reminder of hope, love and the mission we share as a Christian community. A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful parents and families for your support, to our dedicated staff for guiding and preparing the children and to our students who participated so reverently and joyfully. Your presence and commitment made today truly special. May Mary continue to watch over our school and our families.

Sport News from Mrs McCarthy
BOOROWA TOUCH & NETBALL CARNIVAL
Last Friday 120 Yr 2-6 students attended the Boorowa Touch & Netball Carnival forming 1 netball and 13 touch teams. This carnival is always a highlight of the year, enabling students of all abilities to be involved in a fun day of physical activity. It provides them with an opportunity to improve their skills, game tactics and teamwork over the day. We were very proud of their efforts and behaviour.
Thank you to Jasmine Wareham from Trinity Catholic College for organising our talented student referees and umpires: Storm, Taavi, Mason, Piper, Will, Heidi, Amelie, Harmony, Audrey, Tyler & Oliver. We love having the Trinity students supporting our teams and appreciate their involvement in the day.
Thank you also to our wonderful and enthusiastic parent coaches: Claire, Coreena, Renea, Joe, Robbie, Vanessa, Linda, Gemma, Shaun, Michelle, Vanessa B, Stu, Caren, Lester, Deryn & Oliver.

Fathering Project
Uniform Shop Information
**Our second round of the new girls summer shirts and shorts will be ordered NEXT THURSDAY 6 NOVEMBER (week 4).
Please pre-order these items now if you wish to purchase them - orders cut off Wednesday evening 5 November**
Girls Summer Uniform - Second Option
We are happy to advise that we will be offering a second summer uniform option for girls. This uniform does not replace our current summer dress but is an alternative for those girls who would prefer to wear shorts and a shirt. It is a combination of a short sleeve blue blouse with a peter pan collar and maroon pleated culotte-style shorts. Girls will still wear the fawn socks and black school shoes. The shirt may be worn either out or tucked in. Please feel free to contact the office if you have any questions.

The uniform shop is run by parent volunteers and is open on a Wednesday morning 9-9.30am for fittings and sales. The best way to organise your child's uniform requirements is to order via Qkr. Orders need to be placed by 8.30am each Wednesday so that they are able to be sent home that day; orders placed after 8.30am will not be filled until the following week.
PRELOVED CLOTHING POOL
If you have uniforms at home that your child no longer wears, please consider donating them to our Preloved Clothing Pool. There are many good quality items available at bargain prices and many families who greatly appreciate these discounted clothes. Donations can simply be dropped into the front office any time. Thank you for supporting our school community.

Canteen Announcements
Our school canteen operates Monday to Friday. Students requiring lunch from the canteen need to submit a lunch order by 9am the day the order is to be received via the QKR app (remember you can order up to two weeks in advance), or you can also send an envelope with correct change in with your child. The canteen will also be open during first break for over the counter snacks, ice creams and drinks.
PROCEDURE FOR FORGOTTEN LUNCHES IN 2025
Forgotten lunches place a huge amount of pressure and extra work on both the canteen and front office. With the increase in student numbers in 2025, we have adjusted our procedure for forgotten lunches.
In 2025 if your child forgets their lunch:
- staff will check with the student regarding what food they do have
- if they do not have any food in their bag, the child will be provided with a cheese or vegemite sandwich
- children will no longer be sent to the canteen for an IOU
- we will no longer make a phone call to parents regarding forgotten lunches and lunch orders
We will not let a student go without food if they come to us without lunch, however we need to implement some new measures to ease the strain on canteen and office staff. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Stage Spotlight

On Thursday 23rd October, Year 6 had the pleasure of welcoming into their classrooms some Wiradjuri women from Goulburn. The students learnt some key Wiradjuri words and significant aspects of Wiradjuri country. Students learnt the significance of learning traditional Aboriginal languages and preserving their history through story telling. Students had the opportunity to hold emu feathers and a huge emu egg. Students were excited to build their knowledge of other languages through shared recollection of numbers.

Week 2 Assembly
Thank you to Year 4 for the awesome 80's Fitness Assembly!

DROP OFF/PICK UP INFORMATION
If you remember the following details school drop off and pick up should run smoothly. Please view the map below for parking restriction details:
- Supervision at school starts at 8.30am. Students arriving earlier than this WILL NOT be under active adult supervision so please avoid dropping your children off before this time. Between 8.30am and 8.55am students are to take their bag to their classroom and then make their way to either the hall or basketball court where they are to wait in year groups until the morning play bell rings.
- Knox Street/Princes Avenue parking (front school entrance) - ideally families with students in Kindergarten only should be parking in this area. Please be aware of the bus zone, parking restrictions and keeping our neighbour's driveways clear. We ask that you consider our staff when parking here in the morning as there are limited all day parking zones where they are able to park; car line provides a safer alternative for families.
- Hall gate (Knox Street) - Bus students are dropped off and picked up from here. At the end of the day a teacher is rostered on duty at this gate each afternoon and stays to supervise students until the last bus comes.
- Princes Avenue/Adam Street (back school entrance) - Parents are able to park on either side of Princes Avenue (outside car line) or in Adam Street if you need to walk your children into school (please note that this part of Princes Avenue is a one-way road). Be aware of parking restrictions and keeping our neighbour's driveways clear.
- Car Line (off Princes Avenue) - Car line is a 'kiss & go' system where parents drop their children off without getting out of the car; please do not park and exit your car in car line as this creates major traffic issues. Car line is our preferred method of parent drop off as it ensures student safety. In the afternoons car line can be very congested. If the waiting line is outside of our driveway the advice from NSW police is that you should continue around the block via Adam Street until the line moves forward. Please consider arriving at 3.30pm or after to ease this congestion; your child will be safe and supervised until you arrive. Two teachers are rostered on and supervision at car line is until 3.45pm. After this time your child will be taken to the office and a call will be made to parents to arrange pick up ASAP.

Hockey

On Friday 14 November at the Goulburn Hockey Complex in Goulburn we’re hosting a Hockey One League matchday between NSW Pride and Adelaide Fire. Hockey One is the Australian senior national league, featuring the best men’s and women’s hockey players in Australia going head-to-head and back-to-back.
Free Entry for Kids aged 12 and Under
We’re offering free tickets for kids aged 12 and under. There is a limit on how many of these we can issue due to venue capacity limits, and children will need to be accompanied or under the supervision of an adult parent or guardian ticket holder. The free tickets will still need to be “purchased” through the ticketing platform until the free ticket allotment has been exhausted. For clarity, a group of kids can be under the supervision of one adult parent or guardian (or teacher) ticket holder.
Hockey Clinic for Kids aged 12 and Under
On top of the free entry, there is a Hookin2Hockey clinic for $25 per participant that happens on the day in the lead up to the first game, and the participants will also be included in some special additional activities for the event including forming the guard of honour for the players when they enter the field. To learn more, or register for this opportunity, please see this registration form.
Discounted tickets for your staff, families, and parents
We would also like to extend the discounted pre-sale tickets to your families. If they want to attend they can access the cheaper tickets before the period closes on Sunday 26 October. There is also discounted tickets for groups of 10 and 20. Purchase through our ticketing platform.
