SCHOOL COMMUNITY COUNCIL UPDATE
Our Council meets every term. Members are parents who nominated to be part of the council. The Principal, a staff member & the Parish Priest are ex-offico members of the council. The council acts as an advisory panel for principal on school policy, enrolments, finance etc.
The School Community Council met recently. On the agenda was the increased level of enrolments and that I have requested the Catholic Education Office to let us have a third Kinder in 2026. We also discussed the need for a building project to build new classrooms as we continue to grow. The Council has been discussing the school uniform and it is hoped that we will add an option for the girls summer uniform of those who wish to wearing a shirt and pair of shorts. This would be in addition to the uniform choices. We are also investigating a warmer option for winter sports top. We will keep you updated about these additions to the uniform. The school council oversees the running of the Uniform Shop and Canteen and makes sure that both are financially viable. The council thanks Mrs Martin for her work in running the uniform shop especially with high demand from all our new students. They also grateful for the wonderful service provided at our canteen by the Canteen Manager Di and her assistant Coreena. We especially owe a debt of gratitude to the volunteers who help out at the canteen & uniform shop.
Council also discussed our fundraising goal for 2025. We are hoping for continued improvement of our playground and are looking at installing some natural wood product equipment at the back of the oval that would blend in with our natural bush area.
We have 2 fundraisers this term - our school disco & running the canteen at the Northern Region Athletics Carnival. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciate.
The disco is on 13th June & NR athletics carnival is on 20th June.
BPoint - New Direct Debit Fee Payment Option
We are pleased to announce that we have recently introduced the BPoint Enterprise Solution to manage direct debit arrangements for the payment of school fees.
What is BPoint and What Do You Need to Do?
BPoint is a secure Commonwealth Bank payment processing platform designed to facilitate online payments, while ensuring the highest security standards. This system safeguards your financial information using industry-leading security measures.
Our new direct debit platform will allow you to pay school fees using either a bank account or a credit card (excluding AMEX). Please note that payments made via credit card will incur a 0.5% surcharge.
Establishing Direct Debits
Families have received an email outlining estimated weekly, fortnightly, and monthly repayment options to ensure all fees are paid by the end of the year. These amounts will also include any outstanding balances.
What next?
In your email you will be provided with a start date for direct debits and options for selecting your preferred payment frequency. Once a payment frequency is selected, you will be directed to enter your bank/credit card details. Once the information is entered, you will receive an email from no-reply@bpoint.com.au . The email will contain two links:
- The first link requires confirmation of the direct debit arrangement. Please note that the link will expire within 7 days.
- The second link provides a copy of the eDDRSA for your records.
While using the direct debit payment option is not compulsory, many families find it helpful in staying up to date with their financial obligations.
Sibling Kinder Enrolments 2026
Sibling kindergarten enrolments for 2026 are now open, and we have started booking interviews with the principal.
We have had strong interest in kindergarten placements for next year so please head to our website to enrol your child ASAP.
Ready, Set, Go!
DROP OFF/PICK UP INFORMATION
If you remember the following details school drop off and pick up should run smoothly. Please view the map below for parking restriction details:
- Supervision at school starts at 8.30am. Students arriving earlier than this WILL NOT be under active adult supervision so please avoid dropping your children off before this time. Between 8.30am and 8.55am students are to take their bag to their classroom and then make their way to either the hall or basketball court where they are to wait in year groups until the morning play bell rings.
- Knox Street/Princes Avenue parking (front school entrance) - ideally families with students in Kindergarten only should be parking in this area. Please be aware of the bus zone, parking restrictions and keeping our neighbour's driveways clear. We ask that you consider our staff when parking here in the morning as there are limited all day parking zones where they are able to park; car line provides a safer alternative for families.
- Hall gate (Knox Street) - Bus students are dropped off and picked up from here. At the end of the day a teacher is rostered on duty at this gate each afternoon and stays to supervise students until the last bus comes.
- Princes Avenue/Adam Street (back school entrance) - Parents are able to park on either side of Princes Avenue (outside car line) or in Adam Street if you need to walk your children into school (please note that this part of Princes Avenue is a one-way road). Be aware of parking restrictions and keeping our neighbour's driveways clear.
- Car Line (off Princes Avenue) - Car line is a 'kiss & go' system where parents drop their children off without getting out of the car; please do not park and exit your car in car line as this creates major traffic issues. Car line is our preferred method of parent drop off as it ensures student safety. In the afternoons car line can be very congested. If the waiting line is outside of our driveway the advice from NSW police is that you should continue around the block via Adam Street until the line moves forward. Please consider arriving at 3.30pm or after to ease this congestion; your child will be safe and supervised until you arrive. Two teachers are rostered on and supervicion at car line is until 3.45pm. After this time your child will be taken to the office and a call will be made to parents to arrange pick up ASAP.
Before & After School Care
During term 2 we will be organising the NR Athletics Carnival. We will be asking for parent/carer help to assist with events (no experience necessary) and running the canteen. Please keep the following date free if you are able to assist. More information will be available in the Compass Event coming soon.
Friday 20/6 NR Athletics Carnival, Hudson Park

Last week, our Year One students enjoyed a special excursion to St Peter & Paul’s Old Cathedral in Goulburn. The children were in awe as they explored the beauty and history of the Cathedral, taking in the stunning stained-glass windows, sacred statues, and the magnificent Sanctuary.
The visit concluded with a peaceful, prayerful meditation where students experienced the traditional scents of frankincense and myrrh, creating a calm and reflective atmosphere.
A heartfelt thank you to Mrs Harris for organising this memorable and meaningful experience for our students.

Please note the canteen will offer our Winter menu in Terms 2 & 3; see the flyer attached below for changes.
PROCEDURE FOR FORGOTTEN LUNCHES IN 2025:
Forgotten lunches place a huge amount of pressure and extra work on both the canteen and front office. With the increase in student numbers in 2025, we have adjusted our procedure for forgotten lunches.
In 2025 if your child forgets their lunch:
- staff will check with the student regarding what food they do have
- if they do not have any food in their bag, the child will be provided with a cheese or vegemite sandwich
- children will no longer be sent to the canteen for an IOU
- we will no longer make a phone call to parents regarding forgotten lunches and lunch orders
We will not let a student go without food if they come to us without lunch, however we need to implement some new measures to ease the strain on canteen and office staff. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
WE ARE CURRENTLY OUT OF STOCK IN OUR SIZE 8 & 10 WINTER SKIRTS, AND SIZE 6 GIRLS L/S BLOUSES. WE APOLOGISE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE. IF YOU HAVE ORDERED THESE ITEMS WE HAVE PLACED THEM ON OUR BACKORDER LIST AND WILL SEND THEM HOME AS SOON AS THEY ARRIVE.

PRELOVED CLOTHING POOL
If you have uniforms at home that your child no longer wears, please consider donating them to our Preloved Clothing Pool. There are many good quality items available at bargain prices and many families who greatly appreciate these discounted clothes.
Donations can simply be dropped into the front office any time.
Thank you for supporting our school community.
