School Counsellor
Danielle, our school counsellor, is on some long term sick leave and I am not sure on whether she will be replaced immediately. We can access CatholicCare in emergencies. I will keep you informed of a replacement or when Danielle might return.
Public Speaking
Congratulations to all the students on their great effort at the Northern Region Public Speaking. They all did a terrific job. I had the pleasure of hearing the speeches at school and they were outstanding. Well done to Isaac, Marley and Neve who are going on to the Archdiocesan finals at Boorowa.
On Wednesday evening I attended the Quota Club Public Speaking for Goulburn Primary Schools and it was wonderful to see Marley Parlett do a fantastic speech. The eventual winner was from North Goulburn with a unique take on “Why did the Chicken Cross the Road”. Marley’s speech about “Grown-ups are a Weird Species” was very entertaining. All the speeches were of a very high standard and Marley should be very proud of her efforts.
You Can Do it
Our students continue to build their skills with this Personal Development Programme. This term we are focusing on how to build resilience through determination and examining our thinking.
What happened when the principal tied everyone's laces together? They went on a class trip.
FATHER’S DAY PRAYER CELEBRATION

Combined Choirs Lift Our Voices
Ss Peter & Paul's Choir combined for the first time with St. Joseph's Primary School Choir to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of Mary last Thursday. This was a wonderful way for students and staff from both schools to collaborate and create something special together. The Cathedral was ringing louder than usual with voices singing in praise. The young performers did a great job of encouraging everyone in attendance to sing out with genuine, joyful enthusiasm. They were accompanied on guitar by our own Greg Angus and St. Joseph's staff members Matt Mullins, Vanessa Deaton and Paul Anderson. The student singers were directed by St. Joseph's Cathy Walker. Surprised smiles appeared on the choir members' faces when Fr. McDermott asked the congregation to give them a round of applause. We hope to unite these choirs for many more events in the future.
Year 6 students are invited to apply for a Scholarship given out by the CWA Southern Tablelands group. It is $250 towards their secondary education. Application forms are available at the school office. Miss Neely is happy to write a reference for the application on request.
