School Leaders
Congratulations to our newly elected School Captains for 2020 –Isaac Foley and Claudia Maple- Brown and Vice Captains- Callum Booth and Marley Parlett. I think our students have made some great choices. I thank all the students who were brave enough to put themselves forward for election. Children voted for Sports House Captains early in the week. The results will be announced at tomorrow afternoon’s assembly.
Carols Night
This a chance for the whole school to get together before Christmas. Please mark it in your diary, Wednesday 11th December. We begin with a BBQ at 5.30pm and the carols which all of the students are involved in begin at 7pm.
If anyone is available to help with the BBQ please let the office know. Look forward to seeing you there.
Staffing
I would like to inform the school community that Mr Grant Haigh, our current Assistant Principal, has been appointed the Principal of St Anne’s, Temora from the beginning of the 2020 school year. Grant has made outstanding contributions to our school and will be missed. I congratulate him sincerely on gaining this principal's job. Temora will be blessed by his leadership.
The position of Assistant Principal will be filled on a temporary basis for 2020 through an expression of interest. The position will be fully advertised in the second half of the 2020 school year.
We will farewell and thank Grant and his family more formally at our Carol's Night December 11th which most families attend.
With Mrs McVey reducing her hours in 2020 I have been able to accept a transfer from an experienced teacher from Trinity Catholic College. I am pleased to say that Tracey Jenkins will be joining our staff in 2020. She has experience in both secondary and primary settings. She is currently teaching Maths and Creative arts at Trinity and she will be a very welcome addition to our staff.

2020 Swimming Carnival
House Meetings will be held on Wednesday in Week 8 (this is a change to the advertised date) to collect entries for next years swimming carnival. An entry form was sent home this week with Year 2 & 3 students to be returned before the meeting. Please discuss with your child the events and distances that they can confidently and safely complete. There are events to cater for all students from non-swimmers to advanced.
Congratulations to Carter Beardmore our Mercy Value recipient in Week 5 for Justice (Treat everyone fairly and equally).
SPRING ART BY 1/2B
1/2B have been busy little bees using finger painting as a practical picture making technique. We looked at the form of a trunk of a tree and we added blossoms, bees and butterflies using paint with our fingers! Our art works speak for themselves and we hope you enjoy looking at them :)
