PLEASE DON'T PARK ACROSS DRIVEWAYS
- Please remember to leave neighbours driveways clear when waiting to pick your child up at the end of the day, especially if you are waiting behind the bus stop area.
EARLY PICK UP INFORMATION
- First break (lunch) is from 11:30am to 12:10pm, and second break (afternoon tea) is from 1:40pm to 2:15pm. If you need to pick your child up from school early please try to do so outside of these times as it can be very difficult to find a student during break time in the playground.
CAR LINE PARKING RULES
- A reminder all families of the parking rules at car line. Remember, when you are lined up on the road at pick up time you are only permitted to be stopped for 2 minutes. If the line is not moving, advice from NSW Police is that parents and carers should drive around the block until they are able to enter the school grounds.
- Please also remember that student supervision at car line is until 3:45pm, so arriving around or after 3:30 will help to ease the congestion at this time. It is not essential that you are at car line before 3:20pm (school finish time).
KINDER READINESS PROGRAM
- Our Kinder Readiness program will continue to run each fortnight in term 3 for any child preparing for kindergarten in 2022. Children are welcome to come along regardless of which primary school they will be attending.
Welcome to Term 3.
It feels a little like we are back in 2020 with the bringing back of some Covid restrictions. For parents the important things to note are please do not enter the school grounds; if you do you must come via the office and sign in using the QR code and on our visitors sheet. It is recommended that you please wear a mask. Please keep your children at home if they are unwell. We will continue to remind children to wash their hands regularly, and this habit helps control not only the spread of COVID but other illnesses also.
We hope that by following the COVID guidelines we can return to our school being more open again. We are also hopeful that we will not have to do remote learning, however we will keep ourselves prepared in case that eventuates. We will wait on further advice to see if the Year 6 Camp can go ahead.
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT WE ARE NO LONGER USING THE SZAPP. Please use the Compass app to keep up to date about what is happening at school. I am hoping that families have used the Compass portal to look at their child’s Semester 1 report. Please send a message through the Compass portal if wish to discuss the report further and teachers can arrange a time to ring you. We do live in uncertain times so it is important to have the notifications for Compass turned on on your devices – the Covid situation & restriction advice can change quickly.
We continue to pray that we can stay safe and well & offer gratitude to all those working on the front line to solve this crisis.
STAFFING
We welcome Mrs Ashley-Jones to 3/4Y while Mrs Yeo is on maternity leave.
With the current Covid restrictions we are optimistic that the event will still go ahead, however we have postponed the sale of tickets to avoid visitors to the school at this time. Stay tuned for a ticket release date!!
CALLING ALL SPORTING, MUSIC, MOVIE, HISTORY & GENERAL KNOWLEDGE EXPERTS!!!!
OUR SCHOOL TRIVIA NIGHT IS HAPPENING IN TERM 3!
This is always a fun, social fundraising event just for adults, and consists of 4 rounds of trivia followed by dancing and karaoke (Covid restrictions permitting).
Organise a table of 10 with old and new friends, or buy individual tickets and meet other parents looking for a great night out.
Have a look at the Trivia Night event page on Facebook to see some of the prizes that have been generously donated for the annual silent auction. As always there will be a lucky door prize, as well as a wine raffle. All fundraising will go toward the upgrade of the school hall sound system.
THE DETAILS
WHEN- Friday 20 August
WHERE- Goulburn Workers Club
COST- $350 for a table of 10 or $35 per ticket
If you've been to one of our trivia night in previous years you will know it's always a fun night with plenty of entertainment. If you're new to the school or haven't had the chance to come along, this is a great opportunity to get to know other parents in a friendly and relaxed space. So get your tables organised and we look forward to seeing you there!
On the last day of school last term we celebrated the Feast of Ss Peter and Paul with a Mass in our school hall and activity rotations, ran by our year six leaders. It was so pleasing to see students praying, learning about Ss Peter and Paul and enjoying their day. A huge thank you to our year six students who ran the activity stations so well for all of our students.
Thank you for all of your generous donations to our St Vincent de Paul's Winter Appeal. We will accept donations until Friday of Week Two, this term. As always, our local store will accept donations during opening hours. Along with our donation, we are also able to donate over $250.00 to St Vincent de Paul from the coloured clothes fundraiser last term.
With the current Covid restrictions in place, we will not be able to participate in the Touch Gala Day.
Thank you to all the children that expressed interest in attending. Hopefully we will still be able to attend the Boorowa Touch and Netball carnival planned for term 4.

Canteen Tummy Warmers
Tummy Warmers is a service that the canteen provides each winter, selling toast and hot chocolate to students 2 mornings each week.
In term 3 Mrs Bennett will run Tummy warmers on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 8:30 - 9:00 am.
The cost is $1 for 1 x toast and a hot chocolate.
If you are able to help in the canteen at this time please contact the office.
Please note, if you order a frozen product in your child's lunch order they will need to take the bag to Mrs Bennett in the canteen to collect it.
Our order for size 6 boys grey pants is delayed due to our supplier being in lockdown. We don't have an estimated date of arrival so if you need pants please shop locally at places like Target and Best & Less. Please also let us know if you wish to cancel your pants order and keep the amount as a credit with the uniform shop.
Students must wear Winter Uniform in Term 2 & 3. ALL winter uniform items are now available to buy. There are also lots of pre-loved, budget-friendly items available to purchase.
The Uniform shop open time is on Tuesday mornings, 9-9:30am. Please come in at this time if you need to try uniforms on or wish to buy second-hand uniforms. All uniform orders on Qkr! will be filled at this time each week and sent home that day.
This year school counselling will be available all day on Mondays. School counselling is offered to help students cope with stress, emotional and behavioural issues, mental health difficulties, and improve students' overall well-being. To engage with school counselling the online referral form will need to be filled out and this can be done on a mobile phone. If you have any queries or concerns, please don’t hesitate to make contact with me through email at olivia.bowring-greer@catholiccare.cg.org.au
