Mini Vinnies

Our team of Mini Vinnies would like to extend their thanks to our community here at Ss Peter and Paul’s.

Today we were able to donate all of your generous winter warmers and a sizeable monetary donation from funds raised at our Ss Peter and Paul’s Feast Day, to those in need this Winter.

As Pope Francis said in his encyclical, “All of us can cooperate as instruments of God for the care of all Creation.” (Francis, P. (2015. Laudato Si).

Assumption Mass

Assumption Mass will now be at Our Lady of Fatima at 10:00am on Friday, August 13th. Only students in Years Five and Six will attend this year because of Covid restrictions. We will try to take some of the students who have made their First Holy Communion if restrictions allow. 

Indigenous School Cross

Over the coming weeks, our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students will beginning designing our Indigenous themed school cross for school liturgies, masses and prayer celebrations. Through this process, we will use symbolism from the book, Our Mob, God's Story. If any of our Indigenous parents or members of the community would like to be involved, please contact Mr Brown at school.

A Prayer for Winter

In the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit,

Lord, In the midst of Winter, when the dats are cold and the wind can pierce, remind us of the warmth of your love. In the midst of Winter, when days are short, dawn comes late, and dusk arrives early remind us that in the darkness your light still shines.
