Religious Education News
Last Sunday we officially started the season of Advent. In classrooms, our prayer tables now have purple cloths and we focus on the first theme of Advent; Hope. During the weeks of Advent, it is important that we reflect on how we can prepare our hearts and homes for Christ's birth in the world as it is today. It is a time for faith communities and families to remember, through prayer, reflections and good deeds what the true meaning of Jesus' birth is.
Last week, Stage One students had their Stage Liturgy around the theme of generosity. As always, our students were impeccably behaved and remained reverent throughout. It was so pleasing to see that they were able to see how their donations to the St Vincent de Paul's Christmas Appeal is a way of enacting our current Mercy Value, Mercy in a practical way.
A huge thank you for all of your generous donations to the Christmas Appeal. If you would like to donate, we are accepting donations until Wednesday, December 8 (Week 10).
God Bless.
