I thank staff and parents for their ongoing support during this term.
MATHS AT HOME
There are many resources online for students and families to explore Maths ideas and challenges. Try a few of these and encourage your child to explore by discovering some activities and concepts together.
Some great websites:
Starter of the Day: http://www.transum.org/Software/SW/Starter_of_the_day/
This is used in many classes as a warm up or group challenge each day. Starter of the Day provides a wide variety of ways to apply your numeracy knowledge and a daily surprise. Many of these can even be explored and enjoyed by our younger students with help from a friend or family member.

Jenny Eather’s Maths Dictionary for Kids (Interactive): http://www.amathsdictionaryforkids.com/dictionary.html

There are also countless apps that can be incredibly useful on iPads and other devices. Some of our favourites are: Maths Animations (step by step), Heli Math (fast facts), Math Fight (competitive fast facts), Math Dots, Oh No Fractions (2-6), Fractions (by Braining Camp), Chicken Coop Fraction Games, Shapes 3D, and many more.
