Archdiocese Athletics Results

Congratulations to all our students who represented the Northern Region at the Arch Athletics Carnival in Canberra on Tuesday 22 August.

SPP was well represented and we had some very successful results:

Lucy Boniface: 7th girls 8yr 100m
Georgia Batty: 8th girls 9yr 100m
Harmony Payn: 11yr girls - 2nd Shot Put, 1st Discus, 6th Long Jump, 7th 100m, 6th 200m
Georgia Brown: 1st girls 11 yr Shot Put
Edeva Shannon: 8-10yr girls - 1st Discus, 4th Shot Put
Molly Dillon: 2nd girls 11yr 1500m
Archie Reynolds: 4th boys 9yr 100m
Toby Boniface: 7th boys 10yr 100m
Austin Cosgrove: 10yr boys - 6th 100m, 2nd 1500m
Charlie Boniface: 3rd boys 12-13yr Long Jump
Charlie Hallam: 5th boys 8-10yr Discus
6th - Girls 8-10yr 4x100m Relay (Stella Salmon, Georgia Batty, Hannah Pollard, Edeva Shannon)
3rd - Boys 8-10yr 4x100m Relay (Toby Boniface, Zaide Kearns, Austin Cosgrove, Archie Reynolds)

All 1st and 2nd placegetters will represent the Canberra/Goulburn Archdiocese at the MacKillop Athletics carnival in Sydney on 18 September.

2023 SPORT TRIALS

The dates of the trials will be publicised on the webpage and the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn FaceBook Page.

These trials are for Yr 5 & 6 students or outstanding Yr 4 students.

The beginning and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools.

You can help keep children safe by remembering the following:

drop your child off and pick them up on the school side of the road
never call out to them from across the road - it is very dangerous
always take extra care in 40km school zones
follow all parking signs - these help keep your child as safe as possible
park responsibly even if it means you have to walk further to the school gate
never double park - it is illegal and puts children at risk
never do a U-turn or a three point turn outside the school as it puts children at risk of harm
model safe and considerate pedestrian and driver behaviours to your child
always give way to pedestrians particularly when entering and leaving driveways.
