This term K-6 students have been learning about renewable energies with a strong focus on wind power. Students in K-2 made paper wind mills and they also conducted research on wind power using the Library Chromebooks. Students in 3-6 designed their own wind powered rotating compost bin prototypes. This fed into the major project that we received a financial grant for (Wind Powered Rotating Compost Bin). All students have had a chance to see the positive impact of clean energy. I would like to personally thank Shane Webster for his work with installing the wind turbine mounts. A big thank you also to Eloise and Amber Haigh's Grandfather Wayne Haigh and neighbour Ray Sherwood for their time and skills in putting the major project together. They have spent countless hours working on this.
