Welcome to Term 3! I hope you have survived our wild, windy & cold weather recently. We look forward to a busy Term 3 with a highlight being this year’s School Musical. Please keep Friday 13^th September free. There will be 2 performances – a 10am matinee for other schools, grandparents & anyone else interested in attending. The Friday night main performance will begin at 6.30pm preceded by a family BBQ at 5.30pm. Every child will be involved from every class. Rehearsals are well underway.

COMING UP SOON- Our Book week parade on 9^th AUGUST 9.30am in the hall. Please come along to watch and make sure your child remains at school to continue their learning after the parade.

ATTENDANCE

A reminder attendance at school for the whole day is important. We understand that sometimes children need to go to medical appointments or for family reasons so may need to leave early. However these should be a one off rather than a regular occurrence. If a child misses about 30 mins a day over time this ends up being nearly a whole school day a fortnight and the affect multiplies from there. We are required legally to make sure children are at school and I can reject a reason for an absence as not acceptable. If you are having any problems concerning your child’s attendance please contact your child’s teacher in the first instance.

SCHOOL HOURS

School supervision begins at 8.30am & only students dropped off early by the school bus should be on the grounds before then. Some people are dropping children before 8.30am. If you child is getting here well before 8.30am you might need to look at organising before school care for them.

Classes finish at 3.20pm & a staff member is on duty to the last bus leaves. A staff member stays at car line pick up area till 3.45pm. Students then go to the office & parents are contacted.

If you going to be late because of an emergency please let the office know.
