On Thursday, August 29th, Ss Peter & Paul’s Primary School Fathering Project group hosted a lively “Dads and Dodgeball” event at Veolia Stadium. The event was a huge success, drawing 110 participants—45 dads and their children—for an evening of friendly competition and bonding.

The enthusiastic dodgeball games filled the air with laughter and playful rivalry. The event not only offered a chance for physical activity but also allowed everyone to connect in a relaxed and supportive environment.

The evening’s fun was complemented by a delicious meal, thanks to Trappers Bakery, who donated 150 bread rolls to ensure no one went hungry. Special thanks to Tory Simmons, who prepared flavourful pulled pork to fill those rolls, and feeding over 100 people.

The Fathering Project, a charity dedicated to fostering strong bonds between fathers and their children, has a strong presence at Sts Peter & Paul’s Primary School, thanks to volunteer dads like Lewis Beardmore, Bjorn Schmidt and Rob Keast. The charity organises events that encourage father-child engagement and build a supportive fathering community.
