Look Out for Joe Rider

You may be aware that this month Motorcycle Awareness Month, a Motorcycle Council of NSW initiative.

We know that motorcyclists are some of our most vulnerable road users. On average, 57 motorcyclists are killed and 1042 are seriously injured on NSW roads every year.

As part of our road safety campaigns, Goulburn Mulwaree Council run a competition called “Look out for Joe Rider”. Joe Rider wears a bright pink vest with his name written on the back of it. If children are taught to spot Motorcyclists from a young age by the time they are drivers it will be second nature!

If you spot Joe Rider, or even look for him but dont see him, you can report this via a QR code and go in the draw to win one of 5 breakdown kits. This year Joe Rider is running from the 20th to the 27th of October.

Neuro-Network

Introducing NeuroNetwork! Members Welcome!

  • Does your child identify as neurodiverse?
  • Are you looking to have your child assessed as neurodiverse?
  • Do you have information on therapies available in Goulburn?
  • Does your child have adjustments in the classroom? Do they need them?
  • Have you applied for NDIS funding?
  • Are you willing/able to provide any advice to other families going through similar experiences?

If you answered yes to any of the above - or have anything else to offer a group of parents/carers about your own or your child's experience with neurodiversity in Goulburn - we'd love to hear from you. Our aim is to consolidate experiences and information and develop some resources for families that list and review therapies in town, or provide some answers to commonly asked questions. You're welcome to remain anonymous if preferred - please reach out to Lauren on 0449 720 650 or lkjm.egan@gmail.com if you'd like to be involved.
