Welcome back to another exciting school year. There has been frantic activity by staff to be ready for students this week. My special thanks to Mr Gerrard, Mrs Harris, Mrs Hewitt and Mrs Salmon who had to organise their classrooms from scratch. Feel free to have a look at our “new” classrooms that are home to Year 6 when you are here for our welcome BBQ on Tuesday 18^th February. There are still some finishing touches to be added to the building.

A special welcome to the new Kindergarten students, their families and other families new to our school. Please say hello to any families you might see around the school. I hope they enjoy being part of our SPP family.

Our end of year BBQ was very successful & with the money raised we have purchased more play equipment & sand toys. Thanks to a generous donation by the Kertebani family we have special goal posts for our K-2 students. We will also be putting basketball rings attached to the hall for students to practice their shooting skills.

Please note that Compass and this newsletter are your best sources of information about what is happening around the school. Please make sure you have Compass on your phone. Also you can always look back for information. I would encourage this practice rather than ringing the school constantly. Our office staff would appreciate this.

Term 1 will be busy and I look forward to seeing you at various school events including the Swimming Carnival on Monday 10^th, Opening School Mass 12^th at 10am & Welcome BBQ on 18^th February.
