Advent Liturgy
On Tuesday 1st December Stage 2 students will lead a whole school Liturgy to celebrate the beginning of Advent. The Liturgy will be held in the school hall, beginning at 10am. Unfortunately, parents and carers are not able to attend due to COVID restrictions.
Advent derives from the Latin word “Adventus” which means “arrival”. It is a time of waiting for the arrival of Christmas and the coming of Jesus to earth. The Church year begins with Advent Sunday. At the end of Advent is Jesus’ birthday, Christmas Day.
During Advent Christians around the world prepare to celebrate the arrival of God into the world through the birth of his son Jesus Christ. Advent is the time to celebrate light in the midst of darkness.
Year 6 Farewell Mass
The Year 6 Graduation Mass will be held at Ss Peter and Paul’s Cathedral on Tuesday 8th December at 10am. Please return the note with the name and phone number of guests attending for the COVID register.
St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal
As many families prepare to celebrate the festive season with their loved ones, please spare a thought for those people who are in need this Christmas. During weeks 8 & 9 we will be collecting non-perishable food items (see the list below) to assist the St. Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal.
Our wonderful Year 6 Mini Vinnie’s team will collect items from the classroom each morning.
Thank you for your generosity, you are giving the gift of hope and love this Christmas
