Soccer Season Wrap Up
Firstly – what an effort by our 13s in the Grand Final. It was amazing to be in the stands to watch this team take the field and play an extremely competitive game. The whole team should be incredibly proud of their efforts to get to the final match of the season. A big thank you to the 13s support crew – parents, extended families and super coaches Scott and Josh. You all should be deservedly proud of your young people.
With that, season 2020 comes to an end. It was great to get out on the field and see a return to community sport post COVID. 13 teams – across an age range of 4 to 13. We have so much to be proud of as a club. It was great to see so many smiling faces out playing on the field each week. Thank you to parents and extended family members who supported from afar and kept in line with COVID guidelines.
A huge thank you to McDonalds Goulburn North and Bryants for coming on board as sponsors this year. To the Poole and Cunningham families – please accept our thanks. New jerseys, game balls, kit bags, a player registration and a cool new logo are all thanks to you.
I know it sounds crazy but planning for 2021 is already underway. STFA are holding their AGM at the Workers Club 15/12/2020 for those who may like to play a larger role in the running of soccer in Goulburn.
As a club, we will also be calling for expressions of interest to assist with the running of our club in 2021. If you would like to assist with registrations, forming teams, creating team kits, fundraising – please get in touch with us via sppsfc@gmail.com . It would be great to have a group who could share the organisational load for 2021.
