As the year comes to a close I am extremely grateful to all the students, staff and families for their efforts to make it a wonderful school year. Staff have been challenged to develop new teaching skills and students new ways of learning. Families have been supportive of the schools educational programs through fees, fundraising and supporting us in many ways like school banking, helping in classrooms and coming to our many events.
Our student leaders have done a terrific job and many thanks to all the students striving to be welcoming , studying hard and to follow our motto - To Lead, To Learn , To Love.
I'd like to thank some of the less seen workers at our school - Di in the canteen, our cleaner Vicki and Steve our Groundsperson.
Thanks to Father Joshy and Father Alex for their start in support of our spiritual needs. We look forward to getting to know them better in the coming years.
A huge thank you to Tracey for her efforts in making sure the Front Office runs smoothly and to Danielle who has supported her in the second half of the year. My thanks to the School Executive team Grant, Louise, and Greg for many hours of extra work. Grant you will be missed –I’m sure you will do a great job at Temora.
The staff here do an extraordinary job and strive to be kind, caring and understanding in what are very demanding roles. I hope they enjoy their well earned break.
To all the students, staff, and families leaving the school I thank them for their contribution to our community and I wish them well for the future.
Thanks to all for their hard work and I wish all a lovely break.
To all - May Christ bless you and may you have a Happy and Holy Christmas.

Library News
This term K-6 students have been learning about renewable energies with a strong focus on wind power. Students in K-2 made paper wind mills and they also conducted research on wind power using the Library Chromebooks. Students in 3-6 designed their own wind powered rotating compost bin prototypes. This fed into the major project that we received a financial grant for (Wind Powered Rotating Compost Bin). All students have had a chance to see the positive impact of clean energy. I would like to personally thank Shane Webster for his work with installing the wind turbine mounts. A big thank you also to Eloise and Amber Haigh's Grandfather Wayne Haigh and neighbour Ray Sherwood for their time and skills in putting the major project together. They have spent countless hours working on this.
Project Specifications:
Wind Turbine, barrel for food scraps, windscreen washer motor, battery, sprockets/ chain and wiring/switches.
